The Challenge
Founded in 1987 by Richard Landry, AIA, Landry Design Group (LDG) had earned national acclaim for designing luxury residences in a variety of styles.
With a second monograph about to be released and a strong desire to expand its work overseas due to the financial crisis that was hampering development in the U.S., LDG turned to Barbara Pressman Public Relations in late 2011 to undertake the task of raising the firm’s profile internationally.
The Approach
BPPR saw Landry Design Group’s array of award-winning residential projects as unique material to be showcased in the print and broadcast media in the U.S. and internationally.
The Results
LDG projects have been featured in hundreds of articles in distinguished publications throughout the world, including Architectural Digest and American Airlines Magazine, and the American, Indian, Chinese and Saudi Arabian editions of Robb Report, among others. Richard Landry is an in-demand source for high-end residential design both domestically and overseas, with work in 17 countries.
BPPR develops and coordinates panels that showcase Richard Landry as a thought leader. At Westweek 2014 he served on a keynote panel about international demand for California designers. In 2015, he joined Geoffrey Bradfield and Suzanne Tucker in a conversation with Robb Report editor Lori Bryan before a standing-room only crowd of 140 at the Ebanista Showroom. In 2016 Richard lectured an auditorium of Coldwell Banker Real Estate Agents at the Silver Screen theater in the Pacific Design Center about his design process.
